LAB-014 / PDF + image planning / Building

Site Plan Mapper

Annotate a site image or the first page of a PDF with work zones, routes, controls, hazards, and evidence. Review phases, keep local projects, and export a PDF or PNG brief.

Why I built it

Site conditions change faster than a static marked-up plan. The workspace keeps the annotation, its basis, and the work phase together.

Current development

The September 8 stabilization repaired drawing, calibration, evidence links, issued-phase protection, local-save reporting, and export previews. Portable .sndmap files retain the prepared preview rather than the original PDF.

Repository review: September 15, 2026

What remains open

The web mapper imports page one only. The Chrome companion has separate storage and no transfer into the web app. September stabilization was locally verified, not documented as a public release.

Hypothesis

Can phase-based visual briefs make changing exclusion and access plans easier to explain?

Observe whether reviewers can trace a zone to its phase, evidence, and calibration basis. Status: open.
